Meet The Team

MC is what MC does
And who are the people who do what MC does? It is the crèche worker who travels two hours to get to the start of a hard day’s work at a construction site centre on time; the project leader who builds rapport with local leaders in a slum basti of multiple ethnicities; the trainer who criss-crosses the country to capacitate childcare workers and parent communities; the ED who juggles people, funds, tasks and priorities; the board members who look at the long term and the big picture. We introduce a sampler, below.

She joined Meera, not only to co-found Mobile Creches, but to start a movement in early childhood care for the very young of the most invisible migrant community. She was responsible for the development of the day care program at construction sites, looking for entryways into the forbidding construction industry, and fleshing out the laws that applied to the industry, in how they could be tapped for the benefit of children.
