Vrinda Sarup is a retired IAS officer with over two decades of experience in the education sector across the Government of India and the Government of Uttar Pradesh. As former Secretary, School Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development, she played a key role in shaping major national programmes, including the District Primary Education Programme and the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan. She also contributed to redesigning the Vocational Education Programme in 2014 to align with evolving skill and employability needs.
Over her career, she has specialised in the social and finance sectors, and retired as Secretary, Food & Public Distribution in 2016, where she led significant reforms in the public distribution system. Post-retirement, she continues to contribute to the education sector in advisory and active capacities.
