July 24, 2008 | Inauguration of a Creche at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium

The inauguration of the first creche by the Chief Minister of Delhi Smt. Shiela Dikshit on a Commonwealth Games site is scheduled for July 24, 2008 at 10 a.m.

July 26, 2008 | Platform for Action on Childhood Today Event 2008

Release of “Migrant Construction Workers and the Health Status of their Children”, a study conducted by Mobile Creches. The release function will be held at 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 26, 2008, at the Lecture Hall, India International Centre (IIC), Annexe.

  The release will be followed by a Panel Discussion on “Migration in the Context of Urbanisation and the Unorganised Sector” to focus on the critical issues that have emerged from the study. Dr. Aruna Roy and Dr. Arjun Sengupta will be the panellists and Dr. Amitabh Kundu will chair the discussion.
