Ruby was born underweight and regularly suffered from acute diarrhoea. At 8 months, when she was brought to our day care centre in Gurgaon, she weighed only 5 kgs, a case of grade III malnutrition. Under the care, protection, the special diet and the watchful eye of MC staff, she started to gain weight. Her mother, now, understands the difference that good nutrition and simple hygiene can make. Today, at 1 year 4 months, she weighs 8 kg, and is a “normal-weight” child! A study of under-3 children at our centres in 2006-07 revealed that of those who stayed with MC for 6 months, 71% either improved or retained their normal nutritional grades.

In the last 40 years Mobile Creches (MC) has touched the lives of over 650,000 children like Ruby, run 600 day care centres at construction sites and trained 6000 childcare workers.

To continue our work with children we need a continuous flow of financial assistance. We have decided to increase our childcare net from 6000 to 10,000 every year and reach 100,000 community members via our advocacy efforts. This is possible only with your full support to the MC programme and, more importantly, to its Corpus Fund (100% tax exemption)

Donations in India

All Rupee donations to Mobile Creches are exempt from Income Tax under section 80-G. All Rupee donations to the Mobile Creches Corpus Fund are 100% exempt under section 35 AC of the Income Tax Act, 1961. All donation options and bank account details apply to Mobile Creches located in Delhi.
